Festif et énergique, le groupe Place Klezmer revisite les traditions musicales d’Europe Centrale et Orientale. Dans la langue juive de tout temps, un « klezmer » exprimait tout le contraire d’un vrai musicien, c’était quelqu’un qui ne savait pas lire les notes et qui jouait uniquement à l’oreille dans un style très populaire et plutôt rustre. Formation légère et itinérante, Place Klezmer va de mariages en concerts, amenant quelques fois des invités (musiciens ou danseurs) dans ses bagages.

The festal and energetic Place Klezmer group revisits the Central Europe and Eastern Europe musical traditions. In the jewish language, a ‘klezmer’ was the opposite of a true musician. It was somebody who did not know how to read notes and used to play by hear, in a very popular and tough style. Migrant and light group, Place Klezmer goes from weddings to concerts, from time to time, bringing some guests (musicians and dancers) in their luggages.
