CARAVANE #2 au LAB : ACTION CULINAIRE/ CULINARY ACTION


Action culinaire balkano-volcaniques
Une équipe d'artistes de Sarajevo et de Strasbourg imagine de réconcilier les Enfers et le Paradis à travers une action culinaire. La cuisine est un langage commun qui est tout de suite compréhensible.
Les visiteurs sont invités à passer une porte gardée par un cerbère pour accéder à un jardin alliant l'arbre d'Eden et le feu des Enfers. L'arbre des délices offre des douceurs au bout de ses branches alors que des "cevapi" (spécialité des ancines pays de la Yougoslavie: boulettes de viande) grillent sur un volcan qui sort de terre. Une fois la porte franchie les personnes sont libres de choisir de piocher en enfer et au Paradis.

« Balkano-volcano » culinary action
A team made of artists from Sarajevo and Strasbourg thought about reconciling Hell with Heaven throughout a culinary action. Cooking is a common language which is directly understood by everybody.
Visitors are asked to go through a door guarded by a Cerberus in order to enter into a garden where the tree of Eden and the fire of Hell are put together. Sweetness is hanging at the end of the tree branches, whereas “cevapi” (ex-Yugoslavian specialities: meatballs) are roasting on some volcano coming out of the ground. Once in the garden, people are free to choose between Hell and Heaven’s food.
